How often do you????

Wash your bed sheets and your towels??

I had a friend visit yesterday and we got on this topic. She says she's always washing, everyday 2 to 3 loads . I was curious why since she's a family of 4 and I'm a family of 5 and don't do that much laundry. Well it turns out that she washes all the towels every day (1 load) and all the bed sheets (2nd load) every day and then maybe a load of clothes.

I don't wash my sheets and towels everyday, I think she's crazy :loco:

So tell me, how often do you wash your sheets and towels????

wow! something tells me your friend has a very nice laundry room. in her house.

we are apartment dwellers (hopefully not much longer, we are actually in the process of buying right now and those house prices can just keep on going down! where we live house prices are INSANE) but anyway, considering i have to lug EVERYTHING down 3 flights of stairs to do the laundry... uh, the laundry does not get done very often, which i hate! oh, and then there are the times i forget the quarters so i get to go back up and then down again! fun!

some people want a mercedes, i want a washer and dryer IN MY HOUSE! 2

anyway, back to how often i wash the sheets, im really embarrassed to say! BUT, this is why we have multiple sets of sheets. i change the sheets about once a week... washing them is a different story! same goes for the towels. when are the fresh ones are out, i know it's time for my laundry mission -isnt that terrible?!

it's ok, he makes it all better ------>

There are 6 people in my family... 4 kids, with 3 of them 4 years and under... so laundry is ALWAYS getting done at my house. But, Sheets and towels, maybe once a week. I'll do a whole day of just towels. I'm a towel reuser, will hang them up after bath time or shower and reuse the next day.. then it goes into the towel pile to be washed when ever I get to it that week.. or the next, LOL. Now clothing, OMG!! seems like I am ALWAYS washing clothes.. I have permanant laundry baskets in the living room!! I joke that I am gonna build a table topper for them and use it as a side table! ROF

Every Sunday each bed gets a fresh set of sheets. I do one to two loads of laundry a day so it's not so difficult to keep up with.

Its interesting to say the least.... I seriosly always have a basket sitting around full of clean clothes I just didn't get put up.. And I add to it and add to it and add to it! LOL.. then one night will sit down, fold all of it, get it put up... and start the process all over again! LOL I'm good, for the most part, at getting things washed... I have a hard time getting it all put back up!! Thats where washing for 6 people gets overwhelming for me.

thanks everyone, was wondering if I was just being "dirty" but not washing them every day. Our towels and sheets are once a week. We have a clothes line out back that I hang the towels on of a morning to dry or if it's wet I'll pop them in the dryer for a few minutes. I figure that when we use the towel we are CLEAN so shy wash it everyday!

I wash a load a day. I just throw everything all together my whites and colored. Very bad of me I know . I wash towels and sheets seperately. I wash my towels once a week and sheets every 2 weeks unless they are really bad off or I'm going to have guest.

I'm in the same boat at you Audra! Lugging everything down to the laundry room - what a PAIN! I also have multiple sets of towels and sheets so I won't say that I WASH everything once a week but I certainly do change the sheets etc. once a week. I usually change my pillowcase twice a week though.

Everyday to change your sheets is a little obsessive compulsive. LOL
