I have worked like a crazy woman to go back and finish our 2008 family album. I did 2007 and 2009 but 2008 got skipped because the time I should have been working on it was when I was pregnant and alone (my husband was deployed) with our two other kids. Scrapbooking just didn't happen in 2009 and as a result 2008 took the hit. I didn't like having that gap so I went back and worked hard to get it done.
I recently finished it, edited, uploaded and ordered my newest photobook and yesterday it came in the mail! For me personally it is extremely rewarding to see my creations put into print and I love to sit down and look over each page and notice the little details that I put in there.
My DH flipped through it much faster than I would have cared for. I wanted him to painstakingly go through each page and enjoy all the little details like I do, but I realize he is not as invested in is as I am. But nevertheless, I can give my own little "toot" here and I guess that's good enough.
Awesome! I haven't ever done any yearly albums... the thought of going back and doing them scares me a bit.
My hubby is the same way when it comes to looking over my pages. I've stopped asking him to "see" my latest work. Now my girls... that's a different story. They love looking over the pages that I've printed to going through the albums using windows photo gallery. I really should start printing my pages more.
Woohoo! I am soooo not a chronological scrapper, but I'm a little jealous and wish I could have books in a row. I decided to print single pages instead just last month and I LOVE them!
I had many books printed in the last 2 years and it's always so special to really hold them in your hands.
Last Sunday we (around 30 Dutch woman from a Dutch scrapbook site) had a meeting and there were lots of books on the tables. It was so interesting to see all the different scrap styles. It was a super fun day.
That is AWESOME congrats!! Which printing company did you use?
I use Viovio.com. For me, the pages print pretty dang close to what I see on my screen. I like their paper, I like their binding options (although the pages are not flat, there is a gutter). And I like their price. My 109 page book cost me about $45 (I did have a coupon, but even without it was still a good price.) That included binding and they had a $2 (very slow) shipping option which I chose. I also like that they have a 10x10 option. 12x12 is just too big for my taste and 8x8 is a little small.
