For some unknown reason, I woke up before the sun was up and I have been checking this new cutter out. I'm thinking of requesting this for Christmas. I want to make sure that it's compatible with the Vectors and such available here.
Also, I like the print and cut feature... does anyone have experience with it? Does anyone have a Silhouette? Love or Hate it? Tell me all about it, please
I have the silhouette as and I love it. Being a digital scrapper makes using it easy since you are familiar with the computer. I love the online store where you can buy single images to cut for 99 cents and I can cut any of the fonts I have loaded on my computer. If I could I would be trading the sd for the cameo in a second, those 3 extra inches (swoon) and new features are awesome. Really if you like to be crafty you will love it.
I haven't seen it yet! I have the Silhouette SD. LOOOOVED it when I was on PC but now that I'm on Mac I'm having issues with it as they updated the software. Granted I've spent about 10 min on it. LOL

I LOVE my Silhouette SD and have been using it more and more. The more I use it the more I love it. Looking at the Cameo has me seriously drooling. I just made these 12"x12" tiles for a church thing:
He thought it was awesome, and also helped me make it. And that picture definitely took two people working together to weed! Although we definitely always iron the heck out of our heat transfer vinyl projects because I've heard bad stories about it, but Oliver's shirt that we made in August and he wears 1-2 times a week is still going strong.
I also totally cheated and made the pattern for our Halloween masks with my Silhouette software. Using the tracing tool and then tweaking the points made the process go so quickly and easily! I just cut the pattern out on paper with my Silhouette and then cut it all out with felt.
Yes, I know red-heads shouldn't wear red, but the costume was awesome since DH had the Angry Birds music playing in his pocket the whole time.
Umm...can you tell why I haven't been scrapping? Wayyy too busy playing with my Silhouette (and sewing/crocheting Halloween costumes)! And I've got my second paid gig that I need to work on so it can be done Monday or Tuesday.
Also, contact paper works pretty well as transfer paper, but is much cheaper. And if you set the Silhouette to the lowest setting, you can also cut contact paper to use it in your vinyl project or as a stencil to paint things on. I don't have pictures of the shirts DH's scouts made using that method yet.
LOVE my Silhouette SD and I would love to upgrade to a Cameo in a heartbeat, but alas, getting my SD for Christmas last year is going to have to suffice. I use it all the time and yes, I have used the print and cut feature. I've used it for invitations and cards before when I didn't want to see my own handwriting. I've had no trouble with it (except my own stupidity sometimes.) I don't really have any samples to show you of something using that feature because I didn't take pictures of those projects, but here is a link to a few projects I have posted.
I have used vectors from here, I made the potion bottles like the ones pictured here. I've also cut fabric, I've done the heat transfer material, I've used vinyl and used it as a mask then used fabric paint and made shirts. Its awesome.
My only advise is NOT to use vinyl from Silhouette. I have had nothing but trouble. After finding a better quality vinyl I've had no trouble at all. You can also see a few samples of things I've done with it if you check out my blog (usually I keep it private, but I'll go public for a few days if you're curious. You can find it here. I pretty much just blog for myself to keep a journal.)
