I love all things digital but sometimes there’s nothing like flipping the pages of a book or scribbling your ideas down on paper. This TV spot from France takes up the debate between ‘all digital’ and the die-hard defenders of paper. Too appropriate (and funny) not to share with my fellow ‘tech-obsessed’ digiscrappers.

I think you’re really going to enjoy this one. I’m loving the alphabet set – and look…I scrapped! Couldn’t help myself. The bright colours were calling my name so I had to play around. I pretty much just tossed everything I could on this page including my faves which would be anything paint (in this case Painted Brush Strokes v.02 and Messed Up Mats v.01.).
I think it turned out ok but I must confess that scrapping actual pages is not my strong suit. These things are best left to the professionals and lucky for me I’ve got a super team of talented ladies to take on that task. These gals know how to scrap! And I’m beyond excited that my new Mint Chicks have already jumped right in and have scrapped up a storm so prepare yourselves for some scrappy awesomeness.

Well goodness gracious that took forever and a day! Why did I think I could make such a tough decision in under a week? I should know by now that everything takes me at least TWICE the time I predict. Sure enough it took me about two weeks. Maybe a little more. But who’s counting. You were, weren’t you. Stop that.
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to everyone who took the time to apply. It was an absolute pleasure to read through your applications and browse your layouts and blogs. I was not expecting so many applications and the abundance of talent absolutely blew me away. I am beyond flattered that so many of you want to work with my designs. I was wonderful to see that Peppermint Creative has so many wonderful, creative and talented customers and fans. I also greatly appreciate the courage it took to put yourselves out there. I know that is a really big step for a lot of you and hope you will not be discouraged if you were not selected. it was way tougher than I’d expected to narrow it down.
I would like to note that I have saved every application in a special folder that I will be keeping in case I need to add to the team again. (Cough, that’s right new Mint Chicks, I have BACK UP so get in line!). Kidding….maybe. :)

Peppermint Creative is looking for more Mint Chicks! It’s been about 2 years since our last open call so I think it’s high time to add a few fresh faces to the Mint Team! I’m looking for a few great girls (or guys) to join our talented team. Peppermint Creative is looking for creative crafters to digital and/or hybrid experience to help create, promote and inspire. Position Details:
LAYOUT ARTIST: Layout artists use newly released product to create layouts that will inspire and help promote the new designs. You will be expected to scrap their layout before release and post it in the forum so that it can be used in newsletters and shop previews to promote the kit. Seeking enthusiastic and passionate scrappers. I will not be accepting applications from those who are currently designing/sellling.
HYBRID ARTIST: Hybrid artists use Peppermint Creative products to create paper crafts to inspire and help promote Peppermint Creative as well as demonstrate creative ideas for using the products aside from scrapbooking. VINYL ARTIST: Do you own a Silhouette SD or Cameo or other similar machine? Do you love using it cut paper crafts and vinyl? I am looking for some creative crafters to put our line of Commercial-Use Vectors to use. You must have experience using your cutting machine to cut vectors graphics (JPG, PNG, SVG or EPS format) and the ability to able to photograph and display your completed projects well. MARKETING ASSISTANT: This is a newly creation position that I’d like to offer as a trial 3 month term. I know what you’re thinking – MORE new products?! How can it be? Here’s the secret. Crazy snow storm + plus car with no snow tires = lots of time to design away! Last weekend we got more than a foot of snow here in Toronto so I got busy designing up some new fab kits!

I suppose it goes without saying where the inspiration for the snow themed kit came from. My team pointed out that I don’t think I’ve ever done a monochromatic kit before. Probably because my brain always jumps to bright happy colours which is ironic given my long standing affinity for pessimism.
Still it seems like when I go to design the happy colours always work their way in. But I just love the serene softness of this kit – so much so that I actually scrapped a page. I couldn’t resist! This kit goes so perfectly with those super snowy pictures.
