Time for Another Trick from Tay!

Hey fellow addicts, it’s Shanta here with a quick tip for making sure you get the most out of your frames & elements! Many people try to rotate elements using TRANSFORM and end up with an upside down element with a drop shadow at the top because they did a 180 degree ROTATE and not a true flip. Follow these easy steps when you want to an element, frame (or even a photo) to be facing the opposite direction.

INSTRUCTIONS USING PHOTOSHOP:
1. Open the element you wish to use.
2. Go to Image>Rotate Canvas>Flip Horizontal. (or Flip Vertical if needed)
-OR- To flip a single element that’s ALREADY placed
on your layout instead of the ENTIRE canvas:
1. Click on the element you want to flip in the Layers Palette.
2. Press CNTRL+T to activate the TRANSFORM tool.
3. Right click anywhere on the layout to bring up a menu.
4. Select Flip Horizonal. (or Flip Vertical)
Happy Scrapping!

I am so glad you posted this! I have had trouble flipping elements in the LO after they’re placed… I never thought to right click on them!!! Duh! Thanks again!!!

Thank you! I always take an element that is on my layout off to flip it and then put it back on the layout! This is soooo much easier, thanks so much.
