Mint-spirational Monday: Spotlighting the BEST Digital Scrapbook Pages of the Week
Posted by MissMint under Mint-spirational MondayNo Comments
Is it Monday again?
Hot dog.
Is it just me or are the weeks going by faster and faster?
It’s hard to believe it but we are already in June. Seems like just yesterday I was throwing on my winter boots and running out to do my errands in my PJs. One of the perks of winter – wearing whatever you want under that long winter coat! But that’s just between us – k?
I know it’s hard to stay in and scrap in the summer but the warm weather hasn’t deterred these talented ladies from creating some amazing pages! Let’s take a peek at the great stuff in the gallery this week:
My Best Friend | page by: Cherry Limeade
Ummm WOW. This is such an artsy feast for the eyes! I love this art journal style of page and now I totally want to make one myself but it probably wouldn’t turn out this cool. Now I now what you’re thinking…”how they heck did she do that?” Here’s the trick. Candy layered the Massive Splat Mats over the Peeled Paper Templates to create the cool painted effect. These are both layered over a red polka dot paper from the Rainbow Joy Paper Pack which is poking through. The addition of some scribbles and scattered scripty text give a great journal feel. Then she picked up (my FAVE) Machine Stitches v. 1 and use them to digitally stitch her title using the Artist Cardboard Alpha. COOL BEANS. Let’s all give this a try!

This month’s Paper-to-Digi Challenge is inspirting some amazing pages. Check out this gorgeous page using the He Loves Kit. Changing the photo to black and white was a fantastic choice for this kit. It blends so nicely and I personally think it gives this page a really polished look.
A Day at the Sprayground | page by: Cherry Limeade
If you are feeling a little groggy this morning this page is sure to wake you up! COLOR to the max. Perfect for a fun, bright, summer page! Candy used the Color-Coded Papers: Seabreeze Limeade with all sorts of bright elements like the Color-Coded Posh Luxe Flowers: Seabreeze Limeade, the Color-Coded Knick Knacks: Seabreeze Limeade and the messy funky painted prints found in Paint Box v. 02 – which are a great addition to…well pretty much everything. I love me some paint!
Love Thee | page by: rjcjme
Looks like the creative juice also made it’s way to Julie. Now here’s a gal who’s knows how to recolor and isn’t afraid to do it. I just LOVE this monochromatic page. The mix of pattern, shape and texture is all your need to make this page interesting. Almost everything item in this page has been recolored AND almost every item has come from a different kit. What a great example of ‘thinking outside the kit’. I just made that up. I think I will run this as a challenge some time. But the moral of the story is, don’t be afraid to pick things from here and there and put them together. See what happens. Worst case scenario you just press delete :)
rock star | page by: Keela
This fab page combines the awesome (if I do say so myself) iRock Kit and Missy’s Template Set 6. I love how Keela pulled the pink, black and green from her son’s t-shirt as the color scheme for this page. So clever. I also love the different angles of the photos and the mix of posed and candid. Just fab!
Just Be – MMB #95 | page by: shutterspeed
Awww. This page feels really solemn and authentic to me. I love the soft dreamy quality of the photo and the muted colors of the page. It is a really interesting mix do the the Lovebird Paper – Soilds the Uniquely You Kit and the Lovebird Elements. Just lovely.
Don’t lie. You know you want a tutu like this. I sure do. Look at all the color! This page is a great example of perfect pictures paired with the perfect kit. The colors in the Pinwheel Bubbles kit compliment these photos perfectly!
And that does it for this week! Don’t forget to post your pages in the Peppermint Creative Gallery. Every month one lucky scrapper will be awarded a $5 gift card to the store just for posting – plus you could be featured here on the blog :) Thanks to everyone who posted. Hope you’re all feeling Mint-spired. ;)
