Facebook has made more changes.

What else is new.

Hmmpft.

Just when I’m starting to get used to the confusing Timeline layout they throw another curve ball.

And as a Page owner, this one is far more annoying than a layout change.

Facebook has decided from now on only a small percentage of you (I’m estimating 10-14%) will get to see status updates from the Pages you already ‘LIKE’. How thoughtful. Page Admins must now pay to have their posts be visible to their existing fans. Not NEW fans – people who have already ‘LIKED’ their page. Cost depends on how many people you’d like to reach. So rude.

Facebook claims that nothing has changed in regards to how posts are shared with the people who already ‘LIKE’ your page but I’m not buying it.

Luckily (until they make more changes) there is a solution. To ensure you see all updates, be sure to visit my page (or any page you like) and click the LIKE button and select ‘Show in News Feed’ – otherwise you are going to miss all the good stuff – sales, promos, coupons and freebies.

From what I am reading online unless you constantly “like” or “comment” on individual posts Facebook assumes you are not longer interested in viewing updates from that page in your feed,  so interacting with pages you “like” is another helpful tip.

You can also create “Lists” and add the Peppermint Creative page to a list of favorite pages that you can check at your leisure. See above there is an option titled ” +New List”

You can read more about these changes in this article from I Heart Faces.

Alternatively – an even BETTER solution is to sign up for the Peppermint Creative newsletter. I only send them out when I have something important to tell you – like a new product release, a sale, a promotion, a coupon, a freebie. You get the drift. This is the only sure fire way to make sure you get all the important news.
