It is Rosh Hashanah, the start of a new year according to the Hebrew calendar.
Wishing all my Jewish friends a sweet, healthy and happy new year!
A little peak at the delicious feast…until Mama Mint said (and I quote) “I’m busy in here, get out of the kitchen!’” LOL.
Oh SURE. No one likes a photographer but EVERYONE wants the pictures ;)

School Daze Mini Book
Created by: Mary Jo Johnston
It’s back to school time!
And, I know you’re ready, camera in hand, capturing all of those precious moments. Maybe even holding on to last year’s fabulous photos (or the year before) – you know the first day of school, doing homework, reading a book? Well, we’ve got a super cute, colorful mini book to help you scrap those photos!
Peppermint Creative Products Used:
School Zone Papers
School Zone Elements
Jumbo Bracket Mats
Bingo Cards – School
Schoolhouse Alpha
The best part – this book was created in less than an hour! EZ PZ!
Begin by printing the Bingo Cards onto cardstock, sized to your preference of mini album. I used five cards for the pages and one extra for the cover.
Print several patterned papers and various elements.
I arrange all of my elements on a 8.5” x 11” canvas in Photoshop, save and print. I hand cut each element to be used. *Be sure to size them big enough to make cutting easy.
For each page, use the patterned paper to cut rectangular photo mattes. Because my children are small (only preschool age), I used a piece of cardstock as a second matte and I’ll insert my photos later.
*Tip: Use foam squares or pop dots under each of your elements for added dimension and for easy overlapping of your photos.
You can create this book as is, using the school grade format or adapt the little book for your every day school photos, a class project or even give it as a teacher’s gift.
Enjoy the school year! =)

Grab those back packs and start packing lunches, the kids are going back to school which MEANS it’s time to start scrapbooking those adorable back to school moments – you know, the ones where you sigh ‘THANK GOD I’ll have a few hours to myself which the kids are at school!’…or so I’ve heard ;)
I’m really excited about this kit – the best ones always come together quickly and this one practically created itself. Wish they were all that easy! LOL.
I’m loving the color scheme and the fun elements because it’s different from the other school kits I’ve done before and I’m just LOVING the pages I’ve been seeing with it so far.
Of course we have to have some coordinating extras.
And some BINGO cards which I’ve decided have become my ‘THING’ for this year. Last year if you might have noticed it was tickets….remember? This year Bingo Cards. LOL.
At the last minute I decided to do a layered ‘Letterman’ style alphabet set – the kind you see on the back of those school jackets. LOVE them!
And then of course you can just save yourself some time and a little cash by grabbing it all as a bundled collection. YIPPEE!
