I just LOVE this layout. Aside from the fabulous layering & element clustering, I’m loving the abundance (ooh, big word) of PINK on a guy page. And not just any guy page – a really RUGGED guy page. The contrast of the masculine photo with the sweetness of the pink really stands out.

I’m going to label this one the ‘feel-good’ page of the week. It just makes you smile. The different angles of the swing and the bright colors mixed with the felt leaves popping out everywhere. It just makes me want to run outside and swing.

Aside from the  super cute baby (it’s hard to pass up a cute baby), this page stands out to me because the title. Now ideally, baby would have been playing with a balloon in a more neutral color. But life happens and you capture what you can. So jenhen2752 cleverly incorporated that BRIGHT green into the title to create color balance. And until you become so possessed that you color coordinate your children and their toys to match specific scrapbook kits, this is a great little trick!

What’s new people? Happy MONDAY! If you received an OPT-IN newsletter last week and responded I thank you for your support and wild enthusiasm. I was amused by those who responded with exclamation marks and extra comments. Very cute.

A stunning page from the template queen Cindy Schneider. But then again we have come to expect nothing less than layered perfection when it comes to Cindy’s pages. Fantastic mix of colors and elements and a great example of how you can use specific kits (in this case a Valentine’s Day Kit) for another occasion, like a birthday just by adding in some birthday-rific elements.

This perfect page (pigtails and all) by Tiff is a great reminder that we should spend some time hunting. Not for eggs but for old photos. Dig them up and give them a quick scan for a fun page with a retro twist like this one of little baby Tiff hunting for eggs in 1988.
