First I have to send a big THANKS to everyone who stopped by to offer support and/or possible solutions to remedy the results of my recent (and so VERY tragic) debacle of a photo session. To recap, I turned my subjects into Smurfs by shooting with a custom white balance set the day before in my apartment.
I feel a little less stupid now that I know so many of you have done the same thing. The good news is that half were salvaged by changing the levels to ‘auto’ (in Photoshop, Image>Adjustments>Levels>Auto). And shout out to Sharon who suggested that I open the photo in Camera Raw using Adobe Bridge which helped fix a bunch more. Did you know you could do that? I had no idea! VERY cool. Thanks Sharon for that tip!
And then I figure if all else fails I can just be sneaky and convert them to black and white.
Second I came to vent about my dishwasher. What a hunk of junk. Unless I clean everything BEFORE I load it up…it comes out dirtier than when it when in. Well then what’s the point I ask? You should call it a dishrinser not a dishwasher Whirlpool. I’ve had better ones in the past so I’d hate to give dishwashers a bad name. Just this particular model which I can’t change because that’s one of the joys of rental apartment living. That and the monthly testing of the fire alarm.
Oh joy.
The sound is so ear piercingly loud that I’ve had to fashion a sound muffling device to take the edge off. Toilet paper (double roll, 2 ply – don’t skimp) and duct tape baby. Works like a charm.

Don’t worry, I can STILL hear everything perfectly, it just takes that bone shrilling edge off.

Are you a vinyl cutter? Do you sell vinyl wall art or vinyl decals?
Check out our growing collection of commercial (non-digital) vector graphics!
Give your business a boost with our professionally designed graphics. No generic clip art here folks! All graphics are specifically designed for use with professional vinyl machines and are optimized for rapid, smooth cutting with no intersections, overlaps or cross-cuts. Plus repositionable and removable elements within the EPS files allow phrase lines and flourishes to be freely interchanged for creating truly unique products. Increase your inventory in an instant!
What does ‘commercial (non-digital) mean? Allow me to explain – this means our vectors (in the blue packages only) include a license allowing you to use the graphics to create a physical product for the purpose of re-sale – which means you can use them to cut and sell as much vinyl as you want! Just keep in mind that these graphics cannot be used digitally to create digital products like scrapbook papers and/elements or patterns.
