Hidee ho scrapperdoodles! I hope that everyone is doing well. I was held up in the hospital all last week having emergency surgery so pardon my absence pretty please. I was having a great week, just relaxing and minding my business when I got stomach cramps after breakfast on Friday (May 8th). While I waited for the pain to pass, it only intensified and within an hour I was sweating on the bathroom floor, writhing in pain and tossing my breakfast back into the loo. I called 911 and waited FOREVER for the ambulance.

Yadda, yadda, yadda they carted me off the hospital, pumped me full of morphine (THANK YOU Lord) and took two CT Scans. Turns out that a portion of my small intestine had twisted and kinked (like a garden hose) and it was causing an obstruction. Apparently this was due to scar tissue from the surgery I had a year and a half ago (for Chrone’s Colitis) and a generous helping of bad luck. They carted me off to surgery once again and untwisted me and now I’m happy to be home and on the mend.

So I can’t believe all that happened. Very unexpected and EXCRUCIATINGLY painful. I was told it’s worse than child birth so I feel very well prepared when the time comes. I’m crossing my fingers that it never happens again. I’m super bummed that I have to sit on my ass for the next few weeks to heal PLUS as mentioned in my last post, I was just over a terrible flu/cold. No fun at all!

So tonight is the Idol Finale and yawn yawn I’m so bored. I think we’ll all be shocked if Adam doesn’t win and when he sings nice and soft (minus the screaming) like the first song he did, it’s amazing. So I hope that whoever signs him puts the ex-nay on the screaming. Oh and the original song was AWEFUL no? I’m just looking forward to a new season of So You Think You Can Dance at this point. Did anyone catch the new Bachelorette? Oh it’s FUN to see the men squirm for a change!
