And he’s not happy about it!

The cat has now decided that the dog cage is hers. She’s been sleeping there every day for the last few weeks. Poor Chase. In her defense she’s willing to share but Chase isn’t having it. LOL. A few times he’s been in there first and Abby will come in and curl up next to him (awww) but he jumps out of there so fast I can barely get my lens cap off.
In other news, I had a cute YouTube Tuesday for you this week and Ellen totally stole it! I started typing the link out while Ellen was playing in the background and about 10 minutes later she played the video and asked for the couple in it to contact her. Today she said she tracked them down and they will appear on her show sometime next week. So for those of you who don’t watch her show, here’s the clip:
A couple’s first wedding dance:
Hope you’re all having a wonderful day!
Funny! It seems like all it takes these days is an amusing YouTube video and BAM! you’re on Ellen. Last month I mentioned that some hybrid projects would be coming to Peppermint Creative and holy excitement they are FINALLY here! But I can’t spill the beans JUST yet. POSSIBLY tomorrow or over the weekend so stay tuned. In the meantime I’m busy finishing up the new Christmas kit and other Christmas items. Fun! Fun! Fun!
See ya soon!

Whoo hoo everybody! Warm up your computer – it’s time to shop!!!! If you’ve stopped by today you’re in luck! As you can see, I’ve put together some ULTIMATE COLLECTIONS of the all my best holiday products. Trust me, these prices can’t be beat. After today they’ll go back to their regular prices (which is still quite a bargoon!) but if you’ve been meaning to stock up on holiday supplies, today’s the day! You can even pick up the new Hanukkah Funukkah kit PLUS last year’s Eighth Night kit, PLUS two additional element packs for $9.95. These items retail at $15.75!!!!
Speaking of Hanukkah, I am VERY excited to release this year’s kit. I have to mention that you really don’t have to celebrate this holiday to enjoy the papers. I left the designs completely neutral so that they could be used all year long. I am just loving the alpha set so you will probably find something similar in this year’s Christmas kit.

Happy Thanksgiving to those of you who celebrate it! I hope that you are enjoying your time with family and friends. Don’t forget to take pictures! After all, every event is just a layout waiting to happen!
As promised here is your exclusive sneak peak at this year’s Hanukkah kit! I wasn’t sold on doing one this year – Hanukkah kits are a bit of a challenge – but there was such an overwhelming and unexpected demand for one that I couldn’t say no! LOL!

After much thought I decided to go with “traditional” Hanukkah colors but kept the papers very neutral in design. This way you’ll be able to use them all year long for many different events and occasions. The element set is packed with Hanukkah specific items to make your holiday layouts extra special. You’ll have to wait till tomorrow to see the rest of those! But check back before you stop to shop to see some great layouts from the Chicks.
Speaking of the holidays, I have a GREAT find to share with you! Patty Debowski has written an absolutely incredible digi scrap reference book for Photoshop Element users:
Digital & Hybrid Scrapbooking & Card-Making with Photoshop Elements
It’s over 350 pages packed with step-by-step instructions on how to do everything from opening a document to creating templates. I contributed my Candy Fairway kit to the book (oh, did I mention that it comes with a full DVD of files?…hello!) and as a result, I just received my complementary copy in the mail. I have to say that I was completely blown away. If you are just starting out with digital scrapbooking or with Photoshop Elements you HAVE to get this book. Everything is written in plain English. No technical jargon and as you can see from my photos above, you aren’t buying a book of layouts. In fact, I don’t think there is a single layout in the book! This book is dedicated to providing easy to follow instructions on how to do all the things you’ve always wanted to do.
What a PERFECT holiday gift! For $39.99 you can’t go wrong. Be sure to put it on your wish list or pick up a few copies for all your girlfriends who are always drooling over your layouts. Patty even offers a Best Friends Special (discount on 2 books) so that you can give one copy to your BFF. How cute is that? PLUS, when click on the icon to purchase the book, you can actually view it’s complete table of contents to see exactly what you’re getting!!
Check out Patty’s site where you can find more information and pick up a copy before she sells out!!!

Another quickie blog post. Busy like a bee working on some new Christmas, Hannukah and Winter kits for you. Here’s another Trick from Tay to keep you on your toes!

INSTRUCTIONS USING PHOTOSHOP:
1. Select the Mintage Frame that is closest to the size of your photo.
2. Place photo behind frame and slide it to one corner.
3. Use the marquee tool to select the empty part of the frame.
4. Cut (cntrl+ c) and paste (cntrl +v) the selected part of frame.
5. Drag it and overlap the existing frame until it fits your photo perfectly.
6. Trim edges of cut section if necessary to ensure a seamless blend.
7. Merge the two frame layers to create one custom frame.
* This technique works best on frames without drop shadows added.
Add your own drop shadow after creating your new frame.
